Along with the rustic life of the people living in the remote land of Nepal. Rara lake lies in the far western region of Nepal. Rara lake is one of the biggest and largest lake of Nepal.
During Rara trek, we will be entering the Rara National Park. Here we get the chance to observe the ideal habitats of exotic animals, Himalayan black bear, Goral, etc.

Our trek will begin with the visit of UNESCO World heritage sites of Kathmandu valley, followed by the flight to Nepalgunj and Jumla.

Rara Lake tour is also possible by Helicopter. Rara lake trek is appropriate for any level of trekkers. Even with entry-level fitness, you can complete the trek with ease. Hence, you won’t be needing any previous trekking or technical experience. Spring and Autumn season are the best time to be at the Rara. During the spring season, the area is covered with colorful Rhododendrons, which adds additional beauty.

At the elevation of 2,990 m with an area of 10.8 km square, Rara is a must-go trek once in lifetime. As we do enter Rara National Park, which is considered one of the finest parks in the world.

Itinerary

With your arrival in airport, our representative will pick you up and escort you to the hotel. After your arrival at the hotel, we will have small session where our guide will provide some basic info (Orientation on the Rara trek).

Some walk on the streets of Kathmandu and Overnight stay at the Kathmandu’s hotels.

Kathmandu is the heart of culture and history. Today we will have our sightseeing at various places like Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Today we will have an hour scenic flight to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu. Nepalgunj is a big terai town, popular for transportation and industrial hub. Nepalgunj showcases the diverse culture of Nepal. We will visit some local market, mini zoo, nearby villages. Overnight in Nepalgunj.

Second day flight where we will have our short flight from Nepalgunj to Jumla at an elevation of 2,540 meters.

You will feel drastic changes in the landscape from terai to hilly region. Jumla is one of the remote and less developed region.

Offical trek to Rara lake starts from today. We will have our trek from Jumla to Chere chaur ( 3,055 meters).  Our trails of the trek passes from green forest, beautiful villages, ancient monasteries and markets with amazing landscapes views. Overnight in Chere chaur.

Today, you’ll follow the western trails and make a slowly ascend to the place called Jaljala Pass (3,580 meters). Jaljala pass is not so hard. With 5-6 hours of walk, you’ll enter into the main Rara Circuit trail and reach Chala Chaur (2,980 m).

On this day we will head to Sinja valley. As it’s said Sinja valley is an ancient capital city of Khasa kingdom which ruled this region from the 12th to 14th century.

Today, we leave Sinja on an uphill trail, we’ll head east and reach Laha. From Laha the trek continues to the small settlement of Gani, we’ll reach Ghorosingha (3,050 m)for an overnight stay.

On this day,  we’ll head towards Rara Lake (3,010 m). Enjoying the natural scenery, after 6-7 hours of trek, you’ll reach your dream destination Rara Lake. Overnight at tented camp in Rara Lake.

This was the denstination of our trek. So will give our whole day on Rara Lake and the surroundings.

Today we will leave rara lake and trek towards Pina. We will begin our hike with an easy and straight trail until Gamgadi which is the headquarters of the Mugu district where government offices are located. We walk down to get Pina village. Stay night at Pina village.

Today, we’ll leave Pina for Bumra. The trail is downhill and leads through Ghurchi Langna Pass at an altitude of 3,480m. This is the highest point of our trek, where today we will be able to see the beautiful Karnali river.

After enjoying the view, we’ll continue your trek down to Bulbule, we’ll move towards the south and continue through the small settlement around Chautha. After 5-6 hours of walk, we’ll reach a beautiful village in Burma (2,850m ) for an overnight stay, also called Nauri Ghat.

Today is the day where our trek officially ends. Our last trek together. We pass two suspension bridges today. On our way, we’ll enjoy hot spring where we can take a natural hot bath and get some relief. after that, we continue our hike by crossing Danphe Lagna pass (3690 m) and reach Jumla.

On this day we will fly from Jumla to Nepalgunj, followed by next flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu.
