weather in Annapurna base camp

It is said that you can trek to Annapurna base camp every time of the year. But you must be aware of the weather, Monsoon is not a good time for the trek. So due to heavy rainfall, you won’t be able to view the peak because of the clouds. This also leads to leeches, mosquitoes, possible landslides, and slippery roads. Mid-September to November (autumn) and March to May (spring) are the best seasons to be at Annapurna base camp.

Internet and mobile charging?

There are lots of areas with internet access but be aware that in Nepal the internet access is not fast and reliable. You may face connection loss.

About mobile charging, it comes with price maybe 1 to 3$. It’s better to have your own charger.

Going solo?

Yes, you can travel solo to Annapurna Base Camp. But it all depends on you. However, if you ask the ones that have done solo adventure you will know that it can be problematic sometimes. If you ask me, I would recommend to go with someone with trekking experience.

ATM?

No, there is no ATM machine available around the ABC trail. So, it is recommended that you should cash the amount during your visit from Pokhara or Kathmandu. Remember, every transaction is done in Nepali rupees.

Locals?

First of all, in Nepal, wearing a revealing dress will get you more criticism rather than attention. Not everyone has the same thinking, so it’s better to ask before taking pictures of the local. This is not just for Nepal but everywhere you visit. It’s good to take precaution. World is full of bad people, there are some locals who will tell you that it will take many hours to reach the destination. In this way, they will propose you to stay at their lodge or local stay so that they can charge you for the service they provide.
